You may have additional Settings Files in other folders. For example, Settings Files that are rarely used so you don't want them to appear in the Settings Selector. You can load these Settings Files using the Load Settings menu item in the Save / Load Predefined Settings menu.
Simply click on the Load Settings menu item and a File Open dialog will be presented. Navigate to the folder containing the file you wish to load, select the file and click on the Open button. The selected set of predefined settings will be loaded into the plug-in.
Once you have loaded a Settings File using the Save / Load Predefined Settings menu, all of the controls will be set to the values specified by the Settings File you loaded just as though you had selected a set of Predefined Settings using the Settings Selector.
Note that Settings Files created by StarSpikes Pro 4 will always have a ".ssp extension.
You can also load Settings Files created by earlier versions of StarSpikes Pro using the Load Settings menu item.
Click on the Load Settings menu item and a File Open dialog will be presented. Using the drop down menu in the lower right hand corner of the dialog, select "Older Settings" so that Settings Files from earlier StarSpikes Pro versions (having a ".sss" extension) will be visible in the dialog.
WARNING: Prior to StarSpikes Pro 4, all ProDigital Software products used the ".sss" file extension for Settings Files. However, you can only successfully load Settings Files with a ".sss" extension that were created by an earlier version of StarSpikes Pro.
Navigate to the folder containing the Settings File you wish to load, select the file and click on the Open button. The selected set of predefined settings will be converted to be compatible with StarSpikes Pro 4 and loaded into the plug-in.
Once you have loaded a Settings File using the Save / Load Predefined Settings menu, all of the controls will be set to the values specified by the Settings File you loaded just as though you had selected a set of Predefined Settings using the Settings Selector.
Because of the many enhancements that have been made to StarSpikes Pro 4, it is possible that the converted settings may not give results that precisely match those that it produced in your earlier version of StarSpikes Pro. However, only minor adustments should be necessary to make the results identical to (or even better than) those produced by your earlier Predefined Settings.
Should StarSpikes Pro 4 be totally unable to convert a Predefined Settings file that you have attempted to import, it will report its inability to do so. Any Predefined Settings file that could not be converted will be moved from the Settings Folder to a "StarSpikesPro4 Unusable Settings" subfolder:
