To aid in troubleshooting and determining the best settings to use in the Preferences Dialog, the plug-in queries your system and reports the version of OpenGL that is available and which it is using.
The [ Preferences ] button will take you to the Preferences Dialog where you can set various product options.
As you may have noticed, the About Dialog contains a short, concise paragraph describing what the plug-in is and what it does. When development of this plug-in first began, Management asked Engineering for something like that in the About Dialog. Engineering came through.
Of course, it did get revised a little before the first version of StarFilter Pro was released. Here was Engineering's original version:
"This is a Photoshop plug-in, cleverly designed to make all of the highlights in your picture have little pointy things sticking out all over them. Sort of like a Cockleburr."
