Preferences Dialog Preferences Dialog

Click the [Preferences] button on the Main Dialog or press F10 to see these options.

The Preferences Dialog allows you to control some aspects of StarFilter Pro 4 behavior for best operation in your environment. We've done our best to make everything automatic so you may never have to change these options, but they are there if you need them.

If you cannot run the plug-in, note that the Preferences Dialog is also accessible from the Windows Start Menu/Screen.

Configure the User Interface Size Size of Controls and Text

These selections in the Size of Controls and Text section of the Preferences Dialog allow you to customize the overall sizes of all of the elements of the StarFilter Pro 4 user interface to appear larger or smaller to make the plug-in easier for you to see and use.

Note that the plug-in automatically adjusts its size according to your monitor scale. This option allows you to tune the size further. See the User Interface Size section of this manual for more information.

The option selections in the Highlight Analysis section of the Preferences Dialog allow you to specify whether StarFilter Pro 4 will automatically locate highlights in the image that you are editing.

Check Online For Product Updates Check Online For Product Updates

The option selections in the Online Update Notifications section of the Preferences Dialog allow you to specify whether or not the plug-in will check online for product updates as well as how often it will perform such checks. This option is disabled by default.

If you check this box, the StarFilter Pro 4 product ID, product version, and your License ID will be transmitted via a secure, encrypted connection to our online updates server and any waiting notifications will be returned over this same connection. This will occur each time an update check is made.

This option is only available if your StarFilter Pro 4 installation has been activated on this computer.

If you are notified that updated software is available, you will always be asked for confirmation before any software download takes place.
